Latest Anonymous video
Anonymous has released another video. This one includes a photo montage of the February 10 protests as well as an announcement of planned protests on March 15. And it even references one of my blog posts; woot! Although I didn’t end up attending the February 10 protests, I think these upcoming ones will prove too irresistible to miss.

Before that video, I didn’t realize that everybody was masked, so I was curious how it could even vaguely be anonymous. That one seemed fairly decently put-together, and they overall felt like they were done by someone competent, which is more than you can say for… 75-90% of videos on the web?
Any idea how so many people got the official-ish mask?

Well that mask is from the movie V For Vendetta, so it’s not that hard to get your hands on one. I imagine you can pick it up at costume shops and the like, or simply order it off the Internet.

Bleah. Evidently Wordpress strips out images that the preview widget accepts. That was supposed to be a link to

Since the preview widget is just JavaScript, it’s eminently open source. I guess it wouldn’t be too hard to modify it to use all of the same filtering rules that WordPress does. One wonders why it doesn’t do that already.

Probably because the Wordpress filters are in PHP, and can do things like access the back-end database, not something that you want to allow generic JavaScript to do.
